Sohail Tanvir on IPL: Former Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir has mentioned his best memory related to IPL. He has described his 6 for 14 against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2008 as his most memorable IPL moment. Please tell that Pakistani players also participated in the first season of IPL. But after this, after the 26/11 attack in Mumbai, Pakistani players were banned from participating in IPL.

Sohail Tanvir was part of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2008. In this first season only Rajasthan Royals won the title. In that entire season, Sohail Tanveer played an important role in Rajasthan’s victory. He was the highest wicket-taker of IPL 2008. On ‘Sports Yaari’, when Sohail Tanveer was asked about his best memory from this only IPL season, Tanveer answered in detail.

Tanveer said, ‘Taking 6 wickets for 14 runs against Chennai, which remained a record for the next 11-12 seasons. It was a memorable performance. Even today when I meet Indian cricket fans and they talk about IPL, they also mention that spell. That spell has become a lifelong memory for me.

Due to this strong performance of Sohail Tanvir in IPL 2008, the Chennai team was all out for just 109 runs. Rajasthan won this match by 8 wickets. Sohail Tanveer was the ‘Player of the Match’. Sohail sent Parthiv Patel and Stephen Fleming to the pavilion in the very first over of this match. In the very next over, he dismissed Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan. After this, when he came in his second spell, he sent Albie Morkel, Muttiah Muralitharan and Makhaya Ntini to the pavilion.
