Ravindra Jadeja won the team by hitting the winning shot

IND vs AUS: The first match of the ODI series was played between India and Australia on Friday. In this match, Team India won by five wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The Indian top order flopped badly in this match. At one point, the Australian team strengthened its grip in this low-scoring match, but KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja pulled the team out of trouble and led them to victory. There was talk of these two everywhere, but there was one name that no one was taking, which made the batsmen of the Australian team chew their noses. Had he not been there, probably the Australian team could have easily scored more than 300.

We are talking about Mohammed Shami who bowled 6 overs and took three wickets for 17 runs with two maidens. No Kangaroo batsman was able to stand in front of him. Shami stunned everyone from opener Mitchell Marsh to star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis. Australia’s score at one time was 169 runs in the 28th over and they had 6 wickets in hand. Then Mohammed Shami took charge from here, who bowled Jos Inglis first as soon as he came in his second spell. After that, in the very next over, he bowled clean bowled Cameron Glen to all four corners. Marcus Stoinis also became Shami’s victim in the next over. In no time, Shami single-handedly broke the back of the Australian middle order.

That captain Hardik Pandya removed Shami from bowling. Otherwise, the rhythm in which he was seen, he could have easily taken five wickets. None of the Australian batsmen were able to read Mohammed Shami’s balls. Ravindra Jadeja took advantage of the pressure given platform he created by dismissing Maxwell and Siraj took the last two wickets. The Australian team lost its last 6 wickets in 19 runs in front of his excellent bowling. India again got the target of 189 runs, which was achieved by losing 5 wickets in its 39.5 overs.

Top order failed in front of Stark

The Indian top order failed in front of Australia’s left-arm star fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Three wickets for 16 runs and half the team out for 83 runs. Out of this, three wickets were of Mitchell Starc. He did not allow Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill to set. Surya could not even open the account and got out on a golden duck. After this, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja took the lead. Both shared an unbeaten 108-run partnership to give India a five-wicket win. Rahul scored an unbeaten 75 and Jadeja scored an unbeaten 45. Now the second match of the series will be played in Visakhapatnam on March 19, where Team India will be eyeing the series.
