PCB chief seeks support from ACC members
Seeking support from ACC members ahead of the meeting to be held in Dubai, Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Najam Sethi said that ‘it is important to see how other ACC members see our stand on the Asia Cup. It is very important to know what he thinks on this. But in the end, we should know that BCCI has a lot of influence on world cricket with its financial power. I am in touch with senior members of ACC. I have informed them about my problems and we will try to find a respectable solution to the problems. I will also talk to BCCI Secretary and ACC President Jai Shah. I will see how the meetings go and what is the conclusion. After consulting the concerned authorities, we will take a final decision on whether we will send our team to India for the World Cup or not.

Let us tell you that in October 2022 itself, ACC Chief and BCCI Secretary Jai Shah had announced that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023. At the same time, he insisted on fitting the Asia Cup elsewhere. In response to this, the Pakistan Cricket Board said that if the hosting of the Asia Cup 2023 is snatched from them or if India does not tour Pakistan, then we too will not send the Pakistan team to the 2023 ODI World Cup to be held in India and will boycott it.
