Gautam Gambhir On Part Time Wicketkeeper: The Indian team has once again qualified for the final of the World Test Championship. Team India will play the final match of the World Test Championship against Australia at the Oval in England from June 7. The question still remains with which wicketkeeper Team India will field in this match. In the absence of Rishabh Pant, KS Bharat made his debut as a wicketkeeper for Team India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but he could not leave much of a mark. Meanwhile, there is talk of including KL Rahul in the team as a part-time wicketkeeper.
England not easy for wicketkeeping
Keeping in view the final of the World Test Championship, it is being said that KL Rahul can be included in the team as a part-time wicketkeeper. On this, former Indian player Gautam Gambhir gave a befitting reply and also targeted the former players. Talking about this on ‘Sports Tak’, Gambhir said, “One should go with a specialist keeper in Test cricket. It is the keeper who drops catches and it is the keeper who takes incredible catches. Gambhir said that I believe, “KL Rahul should be selected as a batsman in the World Test Championship. England is not such an easy place, where you can go with a part time wicketkeeper. You should get off with the main wicketkeeper.”
Questions were raised on KS Bharath in just four matches: Gautam Gambhir
Gambhir also talked about KS Bharat. He said, “In only four matches it was known that KS Bharat is not that good? Even the big batsmen did not score runs in those four matches. Questions were raised on his batting and keeping in only four matches. Those ex-players who say this, first check their records, for how long they flopped and how many chances they got. One should go with the main wicketkeeper in Test cricket.
