A fire broke out in a multi-storey commercial complex in the Secunderabad area of ​​Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, on Thursday evening. Several people are reported to be trapped inside the building. Officials said firefighters rescued seven people trapped on the fifth floor of the building and many more are feared to be still trapped.

According to an eyewitness, the fire broke out around 7.30 pm in the multi-storey building, which houses several offices. After this, more than 10 fire engines including four fire engines were sent to the spot to douse the fire. Till the news was written, efforts were on to extinguish the fire. The official said that preliminary investigation has suggested short-circuit to be the cause of the fire.
