Jammu Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah on March 16 addressed a public gathering in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam. While addressing the public he questioned BJP for not conducting elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Omar Abdullah said, “Elections were held in Tripura and Nagaland, next month they’ll be held in Karnataka. When elections can take place there, why can’t they happen in J&K? BJP is scared of conducting elections here as they know they’ll lose badly because of their behavior with people here.” “We have wrong notion that the people of Jammu are happy with the BJP. We saw the reality when SSRB protests happened in Jammu that forced BJP to make statements against their own LG,” he added.
