An encounter took place between police and Naxalites in the forests between Korcholi and Todka under Gangalur police station area of Chhattisgarh at around 6.30 am today. A woman Naxalite has been killed in this encounter. After the encounter, a 12 bore rifle was recovered in the search operation.
According to Bijapur SP Anjaneya Varshneya, there was an early morning encounter between police and Naxalites in the forests between Korcholi and Todka under Gangalur police station area. During this, a female Naxalite has died. A search operation was also conducted after the encounter. In which 12 bore rifles have also been recovered from the Maoists.
Security forces have taken action on the presence of Maoists PLGA Company Number Two Commander Vella and Gangalur Area Committee ACM Dinesh and others. A uniformed Naxalite was killed in the encounter. There was no loss of any kind to the security forces in the encounter. The action of DRG, STF, CRPF is going on on the spot.
