Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan on March 16 addressed the gathering on the occasion of the 65th birth anniversary of India’s first CDS late General Bipin Rawat. He hailed General Rawat as an “operational man” while addressing in Delhi. “General Bipin Rawat was an operational man. His biggest contribution was to change the narrative of counter-insurgency and counter-terror operations in J&K. Whatever relative peace we enjoy in J&K today is fall out of what he did as Chief of Army Staff,” said General Chauhan.
