The senior women’s national team will play matches in Jordan from March 17 to 22 and Uzbekistan from March 23 to 29. The matches are being played as preparation for the first round matches of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Women’s Olympic Qualifiers.

Indian women’s football team head coach Thomas Dennerby announced a 23-member squad for international friendlies to be held in Jordan and Uzbekistan later this month. The senior women’s national team will play matches in Jordan from March 17 to 22 and Uzbekistan from March 23 to 29. The matches are being played as preparation for the first round matches of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Women’s Olympic Qualifiers.

India will take on hosts Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan in Group G of the round-robin AFC Olympic Qualifiers from April 4 to 10. The squad for the Olympic qualifying tournament will be announced after friendlies against Jordan and Uzbekistan. Indian squad for friendly matches: Goalkeepers: Soumya Narayanasamy, Shreya Hooda and Elangbam Panthoi Chanu.

Defenders: Ashalata Devi Loitongbam, Sweety Devi Ngangbam, Ritu Rani, Ranjana Chanu Sorokhaibam, Michelle Castanha, Dalima Chhibber, Manisha Panna and Julie Kishan. Midfielders: Shilki Devi Hemmam, Anju Tamang, Indumati Kathiresan, Sangeeta Basfor, Roja Devi Asem, Karthika Angamuthu and Kashmina. Forwards: Grace Dangmei, Renu, Karishma Shirwoikar, Sandhya Ranganathan and Aparna Narjari.
